Abandoned Railway Depot

Today, in spite of the grey and snowy weather, my wife and I took a little trip to check out some locations.
Unfortunately, most of them we were not able to gain access to, but short before the end of our tour, we found this little Lost Place: An abandoned railway depot.
From what I found this depot was used to transfer goods from one train to another. For example, the Lego Company had a factory not too far, and from some scribblings on the wood above the gates I could see where the Lego cars were unloaded.
Anyway, this depot has been stripped down, there's not much left and nature is taking the thing back piece by piece. Obviously, the adjoining rooms have been used (or are still being used) as sleeping quarters by some less than fortunate people.

Abandoned Hospital (Part 5)

I cant't let go of this place.
Today, I took another trip to the former Department of Neurosurgery of the University of Kiel, and we managed to get into the last building that I hadn't had access to until now.
It took some acrobatic skill to wriggle through the fron door, but once inside, the building - despite all the graffitis - turned out to be a little jewel.
The true treat today was finding an access to the basement which provides further access...to the tunnels!!!
The buildings of the hospital (at least six of them) are connected by a series of tunnels, and this is my location for a spring or summer exploration this year - I can't wait!

Abandoned Hospital (Part 4)

As promised, here's the rest of the pictures I took today at the abandoned Clinic for Neurosurgery of the University of Kiel.
These are from one of two buildings (well, only one now) that I haven't had a chance to enter yet.
There is a construction site right in front of this building, so there is a lot of mud. So much, that it's hard to reach the entrance. But with the cold weather these last couple of weeks, the ground was frozen and I managed to squeeze through a little opening in the front door.

The highlight of the day however was finding an issue of a monthly journal for odontology from 1943:

And here's the rest from today's building number two:
